A Time for New Opportunities!
Menopause in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is called “the Second Spring.”
As we progress in our life journey, the body naturally starts preserving its innate resources, called “Essence,” by stopping the menstrual flow. The blood and energy that is saved that way is now available so that you can advance gracefully in age, and embrace new opportunities. But the transition can be challenging, especially if we have accumulated health imbalances and stressors leading up to that time. Symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, poor digestion, poor memory and concentration, emotional lability, or depression can deeply affect our well being.
It does not have to be that way! TCM and QiGong provide practical solutions, and self-care routines that can bring things into balance!

What you will Learn:
You will leave these sessions feeling better, empowered to make shifts to improve your health & wellness, to be at peace with your “Second Spring” journey. There will be time to share insights and experiences with each other.
You will learn to harmonize your body and mind, and become fit from the inside out.
The practices and routines you will learn have been carefully selected based on the instructor’s experience, on ancient traditions from QiGong and TCM, and on medical research. They include:
Gentle movements to warm up and loosen the body.
Breathing and meditation practices to calm the mind and improve brain function.
A special QiGong sequence for Menopause, based on the Old Yang style of Tai-Chi.
This sequence strengthens the legs, loosens the hips, benefits the pelvic floor, and strengthens deep energy pathways of TCM called “Extraordinary Vessels”, which are key in balancing menopausal symptoms.
The Eight Pieces of Brocades.
This traditional QiGong sequence is more than a thousand years old. Recent studies have demonstrated that menopausal women practicing it regularly experienced a better sleep, and mood, as well as increased grip strength and balance.
The Meridian Stretches sequence:
These 6 stretches open up the 12 acupuncture meridians, improving the flow of our Qi vital force or energy throughout the body and in our Internal Organs. They can be an amazing bed time routine to prepare for a great night's sleep, or a morning practice to start the day calm and rejuvenated.
